Curly Hair and Working Out

So, I'm trying to learn how to deal with my curly hair. I workout intensely 5-6 days each week and that means a lot of showers and hair washing and I don't want to take the time to dry my hair and straighten it. So, I found something over at Pinterest that intrigued me, which led me to checking out a book at my local library called "The Curly Girl Handbook." I have learned a lot reading this book and it has been helpful. I'm not saying I will never wear my hair straight again (see my profile picture), but at least I am learning how to manage my curls a little better.

This is what I looked like a couple weeks ago before going out on a date with my husband. I followed the instructions in "The Curly Girl Handbook" for wavy hair and used my diffuser to dry it a little.

Do you workout regularly? How do you manage your hair (straight or curly) in the midst of the busyness of life?

Have you read my weight loss story over at Peak 313 Fitness yet? If not, take the time to check out this helpful, encouraging, and Christ honoring blog!

I use the curly girl way to care for my hair. I don't work out hard enough to need to wash it afterwards but if I did I'd probably rinse it and use a little conditioner and then air dry.

I seriously love your hair. My hair is wavy/curly if I just let it dry, but it is so thin and fine that it never looks as pretty as yours. *sigh*
I'm visiting from the crew and now I'm a follower.

God Bless!

OK, I don't have curly hair, but my 2 year old does and I have such a hard time with it. Partly because some of it is straight and some is curly....so weird, I know! I will have to check out this book. Thanks! By the way, I am visiting from the CREW and Molly's Home Team!
