Today is the beginning of week three of the Living and Active Challenge hosted by Peak313 Fitness. It has been fun to get new workout routines to try (this is one of my favorites), as well as some new recipes. My personal goal for this challenge is to tighten things up and try new things. Sometimes I can get lazy doing the same thing over and over, but taking this challenge has helped me focus and get excited about taking another step towards getting healthier and stronger.
The past couple weeks I have incorporated some of Clare's workouts to my routine, as well as some Cross Fit at home workouts I found on Pinterest and on the CrossFit Mamas website.
I have tried quinoa for the first time and this is one thing I did with it (see pic below). I added some grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and some zesty Italian salad dressing to it.
I also tried Clare's recipe for breakfast quinoa. I like quinoa and will continue experimenting with it.
It's not too late to join the challenge for some encouragement, inspiration, and accountability. This week's focus is all about conquering cravings and we are memorizing 1 John 2:16:
For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world.

Way to go last week. I really want to try Quinoa. Thanks for sharing what you did with it and the recipe.
I am enjoying the challenge as well. I really want to check out the CrossFit workouts so thanks for the links. Have an awesome week.
I made a whole batch of quinoa this weekend to use throughout the week. I find it very filling. Good idea on the CF @ home workouts, I'll have to look those up!
