I was delighted when our nature walk and study turned into a very productive time of yard work. My daughters and I worked hard to bag up all the leaves. My youngest daughter got bored and distracted quickly, and her older sister told her, "L if you don't work, you don't eat!" I laughed out loud at that one. She's heard me say that many times! But, I cringed at the tone in her usual sweet voice. She has heard that forceful tone from me. They learn the good and bad from us, don't they? This proves once again that children really do listen to you when you speak.

Oh, I hate that when I hear my daughter speak in an angry or condemning tone that she picked up from ME. Children make excellent mirrors.
Yes, children do make excellent mirrors. I have experienced countless amounts of conviction from the Holy Spirit through my children.
If a man doesn't work he shouldn't eat. I LIKE THAT! Your children are adorable.
