Forgiveness Forgets

Forgiveness forgets -
erases the past and
blocks
lies as the enemy
loudly
whispers in my mind

Micah 7:19
Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean!

Psalm 103:12
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

There was a time in my past when I lived a very rebellious life. There are still moments in my life today when I struggle with thoughts that the Lord couldn't possibly love me or desire to use me for His service and glory. At those moments I STOP and focus on what is TRUE (Philippians 4:8) and my dear friend, the Scriptures above (Micah 7:19, Psalm 103:12, and 1 John 1:9) are TRUE!

Amen!! I am reading a book from Max Lucado where he focuses on common characters of the Bible that are used by our uncommon God! We all fall short, but I am so thankful that the God of the Universe loves us and forgives our sins. And even more amazing? He gives us the awesome opportunity to serve and be used by Him. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Hi Meg! I like Lucado. This sounds like a book I need to check out!
I am also amazed by God's grace and His desire to use me in spite of all my flaws. Thanks for stopping by:)
