FOCUS - My Word for 2013

I have chosen FOCUS as my word for 2013. I want and desperately need to learn how to focus on one thing at a time. As I learn to FOCUS this year, I desire for my eyes to always be FOCUSED on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

When it’s time to read, study, meditate, and memorize God’s Word then I want to FOCUS on God's Word.

When it’s time to pray  I want to FOCUS on prayer.

When it’s time to be with my husband  I want to FOCUS on him.

When it’s time to do household chores  I want to FOCUS on chores.

When it’s time to teach the children I want to FOCUS on teaching.

When it’s time to talk (or counsel) with an individual at church or at a coffee shop I want to FOCUS on the individual.

When it's time to exercise I want to FOCUS on good health.

Focus

Focus

Focus

When I try to multi-task, I start a lot of projects, but finish very few. I need to stop multi-tasking because quite frankly I suck at it. I honestly believe I will accomplish more and grow more if I will learn to FOCUS on Jesus at all times as He helps me FOCUS on one thing (or person) at a time.

I believe living a focused life will bring peace to my life as I trust in Christ and keep my thoughts focused on Him (Hebrews 12:2 and Isaiah 26:3).

I greatly appreciate your word for this year. It is a word that many of us would do well to have as our word for the year! I am grateful for your heart to share this, as it helps all who read this post to be aware of their focus. I love the different things that you did within this post to visually make your readers aware of what you are trying to communicate! Your creativity makes me smile!
