We released our little friend on Saturday. We still hope to see three more butterflies come forth from the three remaining chrysalis'. This butterfly is a black swallowtail. The children enjoyed this nature study very much. We were surprised such a large butterfly could come out of such a tiny chyrsalis. The painted lady butterflies we had earlier were much smaller.
