Apple Cards

We went apple picking on Tuesday. On Wednesday we made some apple cards. We cut an apple in half, and then coated it very well in red paint.

Then we used the apple like a stamp and "stamped" an apple print on the front of the card. We waited for the paint to dry.

Then we took a brown marker and made a stem for the apple. Then, K dipped her pointer finger in some green paint and transformed her fingerprint into a small leaf for the apple.

We ordered a few prints of this picture to include in our cards to mail to Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, and Uncles who live in either Missouri or California. We live far away from all our family, so every few months we try to make cards and send them a picture.

oh cute. I need to get busy with some apples myself. My trees are droopy and just begging me for relief!
