Thanksgiving Menu

My husband came home from work yesterday and asked, "What are we having for supper? I went to your blog to see the menu and you didn't post it." So, since I'm too late to join in on the Menu Plan Monday fun over at I'm an Organizing Junkie, I thought I'd just post our Thanksgiving menu. We are not travelling to be with family this year (it's an 18 hour drive), so that means we do all the cooking. We had a turkey Thanksgiving dinner at our church already, and my husband doesn't really care for turkey that much anyway, so we decided to do a ham instead. So, here is our menu:

Ham
Hashbrown Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Deviled Eggs
Homemade Hot Rolls
Pumpkin Pie

We really enjoy this meal, but we also enjoy the things we can do with the leftovers. We love to take the leftover hot rolls and ham and make mini sandwiches, make ham and potato chowder, and take the ham bone and make ham and beans, and serve it with cornbread. Mmmmm! So good!

Tomorrow (Wed) the children and I are going to make these Thanksgiving Pilgrim Hat cupcakes. Aren't they cute?

Sounds great! I'm not a big fan of turkey either...ham is much more tasty! Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Tristan, The menu your children planned sounds great! I hope you rest and truly allow your family to serve you during this time!
