Joy in the Journey

My friend Teri, over at Pleasing to You is celebrating her 100th post today, and she is throwing a little posting party over at her place! She has asked her readers to share a post about JOY and then link up. Several months ago, I found a song by Michael Card. It caught my attention because the title of the song is the title of my blog, "Joy in the Journey."

I know I'm a young woman of 31-years-of-age, but the Lord and I have walked through some pretty serious trials. I am thankful Christ is my CONSTANT. I am thankful He has turned mourning into gladness, and how He has shown me how happiness and JOY are two totally different things. I am thankful for the promise He has given me that I am forgiven, I am His child, and I will spend eternity with Him. These things are true JOY!

Do you have JOY in your journey? If not, I would like to introduce you to the ultimate JOY giver - my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). A life lived for Him and through Him is the only way to find JOY in your journey, and "be joyful always" (1 Thessalonians 5:16).

Please take a few minutes and let this song speak to you and bless you.

If you would like to know more about how Jesus has changed my life and given me TRUE JOY, please email me at nikkit3 (at) gmail (dot) com.

That is my theme song these days Nikki. I keep that CD in the car and we listen while sitting in car line. Thank you for posting it for others to see and for your wonderful testimony. Praise the Lord.

Good reminder! Joy isn't in our circumstances, it's in Who we serve! Thanks for sharing!

I'm bookmarking this. How beautiful. Your post is a great reminder and encouragement. I actually have the sheet music to this, and now I am inspired to play it again!
